The service

SpeakBernard helps you practise a language: reading, vocabulary, speaking practice with an AI partner, mock interviews and level tests. We add, change and remove features over time, and the service may be unavailable at times.

Your account

You need an account for most features. Give correct information and keep your sign in method safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

Acceptable use

• Do not break the law or the rights of other people.
• Do not try to break, overload or get around the service, its limits or other people's accounts.
• Do not copy the content or the answers of the service in bulk to build a competing product.
• Do not send content that is illegal or abusive, or that you have no right to share.

AI answers

Replies, corrections, scores and level estimates are made by AI and can be wrong. Use them as practice and guidance, not as professional, legal or immigration advice. We do not promise any result in an exam, an interview or a job application.

SpeakBernard is an independent service. Names of exams are used only to describe what you can practise for, and the practice material is not official exam material.

Your content

You keep the rights to what you write and say. You allow us to process it only to run the service for you: to transcribe, answer, check, keep your history and show it back to you. How personal data is handled is described in the privacy policy.

Paid features

If paid plans are offered, the price, what is included, billing, and how to cancel or ask for a refund will be shown before you pay, and those terms apply to that purchase. A purchase made inside an app store is also subject to that store's terms.

Ending use

You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app, under Account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

Our responsibility

We provide the service as it is. We try to keep it running and correct, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses or for decisions you make based on the service. Nothing here limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer, or our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Governing law

Swiss law applies, and the courts of Geneva decide disputes, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in the country where you live give you the right to go to your local courts.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When a change is significant, we tell you in the service. Using the service after the change means you accept the new terms.
